Automated data import from the repository (https://e-docs.geo-leo.de) into the K10plus- Catalogue

Since the implementation of the Common Union Catalogue K10plus in March 2019, an import routine for metadata from the repository into the Union Catalogue has been developed. In cooperation with the Head Office of the library cooperation ‘Gemeinsamer Bibliotheksverbund’ (VZG), the implementations were realized, using the example of the Geological Maps 1:25,000

After extensive programming and substantial tests to generate a catalog syntax that complies with the rules, the content of GEO-LEOe-docs is now visible in the production system K10plus and subsequent reference systems. An automated import routine for new publications in the repository was successfully implemented and since the beginning of November, the metadata of all 458 digitized map sheets in the repository are now included in the catalog.
